I was raised in the Palouse countryside (eastern Washington state) and relish the memories of its rural beauty — spring rains, pea and lentil vines, willows by the creek, hawks and bursts of sunflowers along dusty roads. I grow nostalgic as I brush intense colors over the contours of the wheat fields. These paintings are an abstraction of the land I love and know, and I am delighted with the way it has inspired my art.
